Making Gift Baskets As a Family

Posted by Elizabethr in Candy Gift Baskets | Chocolate Gift Baskets | Dried Fruits

Last week we highlighted the fun involved in personalizing your own handpicked Hanukkah gift basket this year. Leave the pre-made baskets to the less imaginative folks! This week we invite you to take the idea one step further and turn holiday basket making into a family bonding experience.

Browse our selection of bulk chocolate, most of it under $15 a pound, and choose a chocolate for everyone. Truffles for your hubby, pastel colored chocolate covered almonds for your kids and coconut bars for those with a fruity palate–whatever strikes your fancy. The key is simply to get enough chocolate to fill a couple of boxes.

Once the chocolate arrives, pull out the baskets and display everything on the kitchen table. Tell your kids to turn off the television and gather everyone around. Put on some favorite Hanukkah music and assign each person a name and a basket. They are then in charge of choosing from the provided chocolate treats to create a personalized basket for the name they were given. Kids will love the idea of creating their own baskets from scratch. Parents will love spending time with their little ones. The lucky recipients will adore the baskets they are gifted. It is truly the perfect way to bring the family together as the holiday wraps up.
